DO PHOTO: ROUTINE
Toronto-based photographer and visual artist Holden Isaac Kelly is often found traversing through the city, looking for new subjects and locations to photograph. Interested in disrupting the binaries of the familiar and the novel, Kelly approaches landmarks and city features from a new perspective that aims to reinvigorate the ordinary by highlighting overlooked geometries of cityscapes.
As part of the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography festival, we displayed in store front windows, the exhibit Do Photo: Routine. Kelly captured the strip of Dundas between Bathurst and Grace St, from dawn until dusk, in his own unique way.
The exhibit ran for the month of May, 2015.
