Nomo Creations (Jamie Sajdak) | Orbit Coffee Table
Location: Odile Chocolat, 829 Dundas St. W.

Jamie Sajdak studied design in England at Nottingham Trent University, where he graduated with First Class Honours. Jamie’s designs aim to bring a sense of sculpture and craft to the modern aesthetic. He takes inspiration from exploration of the process used and tries to marry sustainable ideology with production and aesthetics.

Orbit Coffee Table is made of three concentric rings of steam-bent wood with a tempered glass top. Its modern design is softened by natural materials and curvaceous forms. The rings have the ability to sit inside each other, allowing the table to collapse to one tenth of its assembled size for shipping and storage. Although Orbit appears light and elegant it is surprisingly strong — it can hold more than 200lbs. Its simple form is achieved through complex and precise angles, earning Nomo’s tagline of “intricately simple”.
