Eeuwes Studio was established in Glasgow, Scotland in 2009 with the first rug collection, Landscapes. Over the past four years Liz has been working with weavers from around the world to create beautiful hand knotted and tufted rugs. Now based in Toronto, Liz offers a full design consultation and bespoke rug design service in addition to the rug collections. All rugs are designed by Liz Eeuwes, hand made and GoodWeave Certified.
Fuding Rug & Bay of Plenty Rug are part of the Terre des Hommes collection. The collection is inspired by the role landscapes play in story-telling in literature and film, alternate worlds created by shadows and seasons and the language people choose to describe a place. The six rugs in the collection celebrate shapes and patterns unique to different farmlands as seen from an aerial perspective.
Fuding Rug’s gently flowing, organic curves echo the methodical layout of tea farms in the Chinese province of Fuding. (100 % New Zealand wool, tufted)
