Derek McLeod creates furniture and objects for people who value quality objects that make life better by looking and performing well. By stripping away unnecessary elements during the design process, he is able to arrive at a clear and obvious result. His pieces can be described as archetypal, comfortable and usable. McLeod graduated from the Industrial Design program at OCAD University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Design and has exhibited internationally in Milan, New York, and London UK. He currently runs Derek McLeod Design Inc., based in Toronto.
Flamecut Side Table Flame cutting is used to make the solid steel parts that comprise the side table. The table is assembled, polished and copper-plated to a mirror finish to complete this sturdy yet jewel-like piece. (Copper-plated steel)
